Here's a map I drew, so I wouldn't count too much on its accuracy, but still, at least it shows you where we went today.
We headed south-east this time, towards Moreton Bay. We stopped at Wellington Point, the Old Cleveland Lighthouse - took some pretty terrific pictures there that I will be uploading as soon as Karen emails them to me - and had lunch there with fish and chips, then kept driving towards Victoria Point, and as last stop, the Redland IndigiScapes Centre, which is best known for hosting koalas. I probably should say that it was best known for that, since they haven't been seeing a koala in 6 months, but yeah. It was nice even though I did not get to see any koala - we saw a lot of spider and huge spiderwebs instead. They also had plenty of different brochures on things to do in Queensland and other infos, so that was good.
In the evening, I bought dinner to Sabri and Paolo in this place down in Fortitude Valley called Harajuku Gyoza, famous for its dumplings and weird way of serving saké - the waitress screams like a mad woman as she pours the liquor into the glass to the brim. Sabri says I could have a future there - as I tend to speak loud and scream even lauder - if only I looked asian.
Going to bed now. Tomorrow I'm meeting Jess for breaky at the Vanilla Pod in Ascot. Anyone wants to join us?
Qui sopra una mappa dell'itinerario tracciato da me, quindi poco affidabile, ma almeno vi mostra i punti che abbiamo visitato. Si è trattato di una gita molto più breve di quella di venerdì e anche più vicina. Ci siamo dirette verso sud-est, verso Moreton Bay. Ci siamo fermate a Wellington Point, al vecchio faro di Cleveland - dove ho scattato alcune foto pazzesche che caricherò sul blog o sulla pagina facebook - dove ci siamo fermate a mangiare fish and chips (pesce e patatine fritte), poi abbiamo continuato verso Victoria Point e come ultima tappa, il Redland IndigiScapes Centre, un parco per lo più conosciuto per essere la casa di alcuni koala nella zona, anche se a quanto pare, non ne vedono uno sui loro alberi da sei mesi! Mi è piaciuto anche se purtroppo non c'è stato nessin koala da vedere - abbiamo visto ragni e ragnatele giganti in cambio! Avevano anche una serie infinita di depliants su cose da fare nel Queensland e altre informazioni, quindi ne ho presi un po'.
Questa sera ho offerto la cena a Paolo e Sabri. Siamo andati in questo posto in Fortitude Valley chiamato Harajuku Gyoza, famoso per i dumplings e il modo assurdo in cui servono il saké: la cameriera urla come un'assatanata mentre versa nei bicchieri il liquore fino a farlo strabordare. Sabri dice che potrei avere un futuro lì dentro come urlatrice - se solo sembrassi asiatica!
Adesso vado a letto. Domani mi vedo presto con Jess al Vanilla Pod in Ascot per fare colazione insieme, qualcuno vuole unirsi a noi?
