Here in Nudgee Rd we're getting ready for Claire's departure. We just finished reading Catching Fire, Claire liked it a lot and she'll probably borrow my copy of Mockingjay once she gets back home.
This afternoon we decided we were going to have ice cream for dinner, but as Milany turned out to be closed, we set for Subway, wich is literally the next bar/restaurant/fast food on Racecourse Rd. We then had some Nutella with Claire's friends and got back to our place for tea and yet another sweet: chocolate chip muffin! We made up for the ice cream, let's say.
Today was a quite day. Claire packed and I read and surfed the Internet. Regular day off stuff.
Qui in Nudgee Road ci stiamo preparando alla partenza di Claire. Abbiamo appena finito di leggere La Ragazza di Fuoco e a Claire è piaciuto molto. Credo prenderà in prestito la mia copia de Il Canto della Rivolta adesso che torna a casa.
Questo pomeriggio abbiamo deciso che avremmo preso una coppa gelato per cena, ma quando siamo andate da Milany, lo abbiamo trovato chiuso. Così abbiamo abbassato le mire e ci siamo accontentate di un panino da Subway - che è letteralmente l'esercizio accanto alla gelateria! Poi siamo andate a casa di due amiche e colleghe di Claire che ci hanno offerto della Nutella e una volta a casa nostra ci siamo bevute l'ennesimo tè della giornata e mangiate un muffin con il cioccolato! Alla faccia del gelato che non abbiamo preso!
Oggi è stata una giornata parecchio tranquilla. Claire preparava la valigia, mentre io leggevo o stavo su Internet. Un giorno off come un altro.
