This morning Claire and I woke up around seven and by 8:20 we were on a bus driving us downtown to Central Station. There we caught a train to the Gold Coast and approximately three hours after we left our threshold, we were at Surfers Paradise Beach. Quite a long journey with a bus, a train and yet another bus, but it definitely worthed it! The weather has been glorious for the biggest part of the day, the water was cool enough to refresh us but not freeze us and the sun was so warm!! I had a great day all right!
The weather changed a little bit around two, but we stayed on the beach for another two hours taking pictures like crazy and personally, I was continuing reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
The return journey was just as long, but fully immersed in my book and without the sleepiness I felt in the morning, those three hours passed much more quickly.

Questa mattina, Claire e io ci siamo svegliate intorno alle 7 e alle 8 e venti eravamo già su un pullman diretto alla Stazione Centrale di Brisbane. Da lì abbiamo preso un treno per la Gold Coast e circa tre ore dopo che abbiamo oltrepassato la soglia di casa, siamo arrivate allla spiaggia di Surfers Paradise, questa cittadina sulla costa famosa principalmente come localià turistica. È stato un viaggio parecchio lungo, prima il pullman, poi il treno e per concludere un altro pullman, ma ne è valsa la pena! Il tempo è stato magnifico per la maggior parte della giornata, l'acqua era fresca ma non troppo fredda e il sole era così caldo! Ho proprio passato una giornata fantastica!
Il tempo è cambiato un po' intorno alle due, ma noi siamo rimaste in spiaggia per altre due ore scattando foto come se non ci fosse un domani e per quanto mi riguarda, anche leggendo La Custode di Mia Sorella di Jodi Picoult.
Il viaggio di ritorno è stato altrettanto lungo, però immersa completamente nel mio libro e senza la sonnolenza che invece avevo questa mattina, queste tre ore sono passate molto più in fretta!
